Closed for the season
Mackey's bakery first opened in the early 1980's by Robert Mackey Jr. and his wife Beatrice. They began with their famous apple cider donuts and apple pies. The cider donuts were the first of their kind in northern New Jersey and are a huge seller to this day.
Today, our bakery opens when we open for the season in April. A variety of homebaked pies are available on weekends. June brings in the strawberry crop and our first homemade pies of the season. You guessed it...Strawberry!

Other homemade pies that are offered as fruit ripens are Black and Red Raspberry, Peach and Apple.
September begins our Apple Bakery. Home of the mile-high apple pie, we also offer a crumb topping, turnovers, dumplings, cake, coffee cake, bread, and our famous apple cider donuts.
Fun fact: Our mile-high pie has between 5 and 6 pounds of apples in it. The most common question we are asked - "How do you cut that thing". Our answer: "carefully".
